Kybella

Many of our patients come in wondering what they can do to get rid of the fullness under their chin. This tends to be a common area of concern for both men and women. There are several factors that can lead to the excess of fatty cells which include aging, genetics and weight gain.

Due to this common problem area we have introduced Kybella into our office. Kybella is the only FDA-approved treatment for what most people refer to as the “double chin”. It is composed of a natural substance found in the body, deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid assists in the breakdown and absorption of fat cells.

Treatment with Kybella involves multiple small injections under the chin. The injections cause the destruction of fatty cells leaving them unable to store or accumulate fat.

Every patient is different so in order to see lasting results the number of injections and treatments will vary. If you feel Kybella could be a good choice for you, please schedule an appointment to meet with our board certified dermatologist. Together you will be able to design a customized treatment plan and go over any questions or concerns you may have. You can schedule an appointment by calling our office at 813.406.4835.
